With the thrust of Beatriz Sarlo’s saying “Understanding is more important than remembering is needed for understanding” Uzak Hafıza” (Remote Memory), with the works which give reference to experienced and observed political references, aims to keep the collective memory alive.

In the exhibition the works of Alpin Arda Bağcık, Cengiz Tekin, Çağrı Saray, Didem Erbaş, Duygu Nazlı Akova, Eda Aslan, Erdal İnci, Güneş Terkol, İhsan Oturmak, Metin Çelik, Pınar Derin Gencer, Pınar Öğrenci, Sevil Tunaboylu, Şener Özmen and Tayfun Gülnar is exhibited.

“Uzak Hafıza” (Remote Memory) witnesses the construction of bio-politics influenced memory in the historical process. The exhibition opens up debates on memory discussions of past and today which witnessed place and body.
